Nam Prik – Spicy Shrimp Paste with Fried Mackerel (น้ำพริกปลาทู)

Nam Prik (น้ำพริก) is the original local Thai dish. The taste of Nam Prik is hot and spicy, it is the normal taste for Thai Food. Thai people alway eat Nam Prik with friend mackerel, fresh or boiled vegatable and the most popular optional is fried Cha-om.



How To Cook Nam Prik ( Spicy Shrimp Paste with Fried Mackerel)


Ingredients



2 Mackerels




Small Garlic - 15 pcs.




Chili - 10-15 pcs. (or as much as you need)




Fish sauce - 1 tbsp.




Lime juice - 1 tbsp.




Sugar - ½ tsp.




Fried Cha – om (Optional)




Acacia pennata (Cha-om)




3 eggs




Preparation





1. Fried the mackeral in the medium heat.



2. Pound the chili and garlic then mixed with Thai Shrimp Paste






3. Put the fish sace, sugar, lime juice in the paste


4. Prepare the Cha-om



5. Mix eggs and Cha-om together then fried in the medium heat.
